First of all, we think it's already very cool that you ended up on this page. So you probably care about nature and the earth. Or you were just looking for a new cool clothing brand. Or it is because you like organic clothes. Or you were looking for affordable but good quality clothing. Or maybe it's a mix of all the previously mentioned things. Or maybe you have a completely different reason. Either way, welcome.
The Reason
ENSEMBLE is an Amsterdam based apparel brand dedicated to making clothing with an environmental and social focus. When we founded this brand, we had one goal in mind: we want to make clothing that will last forever while also being affordable, sustainable and just plain awesome.
When we started our journey in fashion a few years ago, our mindset couldn't have been more different than now. A previous brand we launched focused on fast fashion, cheap production costs and we preferred quantity over quality. This was anything but sustainable and it did not feel right. So, we wanted to do better by designing clothes that not only make you look good but actually do good. We envisioned a new fully sustainable brand that would be good for people & planet.
And we called it ensemble...
And that's where ENSEMBLE was born. The word ensemble means a coordinated outfit but also refers to 'all the parts of a thing taken together, so that each part is considered only in relation to the whole'. And especially the latter meaning is what resonated with us. As we want to work towards a more sustainable fashion industry, we want to ensure every element of the brand is sustainable, from the fabric to the people working in the factory.
At ENSEMBLE we're dedicated to slow fashion with our ethically and sustainably sourced quality materials that offer apparel with a longer lifespan. We only use 100% GOTS certified organic cotton from India, recycled polyester from China and other sustainable materials such as Modal.
Look Good, Do Good, Feel Good
All our pieces are designed to be timeless, have a slight over-sized fit and urban look & feel. ENSEMBLE pieces are the essentials in your wardrobe you can always go to. Each piece is created with love, from design to production.
We would like to end with our motto: Look Good, Do Good, Feel Good. Look good, because you look beautiful in Ensemble clothes. Do good, because you do good and contribute to a sustainable (fashion) climate and world. Feel good, by combining the 2 things above and you can be proud of that.
